Did the team make the default MC9 skin a little bit lighter? The background doesn't seem as dark.
Hi,

No, you're just acclimating to its beauty.

HAHA, that thought did occur to me. BTW, the 442 MC8 skin is working well. Just like the old Olds 442. It's a high performance skin.

Anyway, while we're here, I should say that the next update to Mixcraft 9 will include a Mixcraft 8 skin.

When will the next update be released?

After we test the heck out of it.

Greg

I've always liked the simplicity of the skin in MX8, thanks Greg! :) :) :) :) :) :)

OK, so how does one go about implementing the new/old theme? It's not in the usual place under Preferences - Display.

EDIT: I found the "skins.csv" file was not updated when I ran the 442 update.

If you have the same issue, open "skins.csv" in Note Pad and add the following line:

"Version 8","mixskinV8.ini","mixrez/skins/mix8/preview.png"

Is it part of the old Mixcraft 8 color scheme in the nw Mixcraft 9, that when you solo a track the other tracks go grey and disappear? :D

As mentioned, yes. I ran the update thru the Help Menu. Apparently the "skins.csv" file wasn't updated so I fixed it myself.

Hi,

It worked for me, and for most people. Maybe you had that file open in another program or something.

Out of curiosity I'd like to see what the old MX8 skin looks like in MX9. How do I change skins, and hopefully it is easy to change back to the MX9 skin?

Hi,

Just go into Display preferences, change the setting, then restart Mixcraft.
