Wow yeah, that is weird. I wonder why that happened... Oh well, at least the reinstall fixed the problem. :D

It was 436 but what other version could I have had that wouldn't register that I needed to update? Just wondering.

Hi,

A beta version. It could also be the fact that your firewall needs to give Mixcraft permission to access the Internet.

And if you have an old version of Windows, there's this.

I wasn't a beta tester and I checked about older versions, didn't apply to me. Thanks for the heads up about the firewall, that seems the most logical explanation, I'll check it out.

I'm on version 436, my Windows 10 is up to date, Mixcraft is allowed in the firewall and I still only get the message that Mixcraft is up to date when clicking "Check For Updates" in the Help menu.

HI,

I have 32-bit build 436 installed, and it's working for me. Can you download loops right now in the library?

Have others successfully checked for updates? (We usually only hear from people who are having problems).

Hi,

Now I've tried it with 64-bit Recording Studio and 64-bit Pro Studio (build 436), and they both offered updates.

I'm on 64-bits Pro. Tried again today, still no update available and "Loop library up to date. No new loops available".
As mentioned in my previous post - Windows 10 up to date, build 436, Mixcraft not blocked in the firewall and restarted PC, just in case.

I guess I could just uninstall and reinstall, but it seems weird that it's working for some and not for others.
Uninstalling the current build and installing the new wouldn't affect Voltage Modulare Ignite, Melodyne or anything else, right?

Hi,

Then let's go back to the link I posted for users of earlier versions of Windows. Search for Internet Options in Windows 10 and select the Advanced tab. Make sure that TLS 1.2 is enabled:

And of course, you can always just download and install the update from your registration email or sign into your account at Acoustica.com to download.

If anybody is using Mixcraft 8 Recording Studio, they can download the updated software here: Download Mixcraft 8 Recording Studio.

I went through the link and checked, TLS 1.2 was checked off. New install wasn't really an issue, just takes a bit longer.

Hi all, silly question..again on my part. However I just installed the update and it goes well for a new project (to change the skin) to the MX 8 look, but in a current project it stays dark. What I have done: changed skins in current project, closed project opened it same dark skin. Tried the light skin in current project...same results stays at default dark skin. However when I opened a new MX9, the skin has changed. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

As I understand it, you must restart Mixcraft for the skin to become your default.
Havent messed with it personally though..... 8)
