Panning question

I'm wondering if there is some way to change the pan settings from standard left / right to either dual panning or panning and width? I have plugins to manipulate the stereo field, just wondering if there is a setting I'm overlooking.

That would be something you'd do with a plugin.

Thanks, I'll make a note of that. Maybe add it to an additional features list? A few other DAWs either have additional options in preferences settings or a width knob automatically next to the left/right panning. I do have plugins to do a variety of stereo manipulation. It would just be handy (and more CPU efficient) to handle that natively. I appreciate your reply.
