Pay version don't work like free one
Hi gang... I'm back...
So being a Jean Michel Jarre fan, I have a few JMJ type plugins. I had to free synths from Superwavesynths. Equinoxe and SuperwaveP8. Recently, I went to their website http://www.superwavesynths.com and auditioned the pay version of Superwave called Ultimate and the pay version of Equinoxe also call Equinoxe.
I coughed up the bucks and bought both of those. Initially I bought the HD versions but my graphics don't support them so I downloaded and installed their "standard" versions.
Herein lies my problem. When I fire either of those up in Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio (or Mixdcraft 8 Pro Studio) they pop up and then go spastic. The sliders start sliding up and down at random and knobs turn all by themselves. And I can't access them at all. I can't even click on the preset selector.
This happens on both my computers. My Windows 7 Pro and my Windows 10 Machine. I must say here that they behave perfectly in studio ONE 3 64 bit.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
Cheers
Pierre
Note
I put a ticket in at Superwavesynths about this and this was their reply
Hi Pierre,
>When I bring up and instance of either of those the come up but then all the knobs and sliders just jump around and I have no control.
All our x64 plugins are internally bridged using jBridge technology from 32-bit to 64-bit. We do know about this problem and Joao at JBridge has been looking into this for a while now. It seems that Mixcraft is the only DAW we know of that has this problem.
All our x86 versions of the plugins should work fine and are automatically bridged using Mixcraft.

Hi,
If the problem is the plugins bridging themselves to 64-bit, I wondered what would happen without the bridging.
You can have 32- and 64-bit Mixcraft installed a the same time, of course.

I installed 32 bit Mixcraft 9 and even though the location was listed in the preferences Mixcraft did not find them so i couldn't try your test Greg..
Sorry
Sorry
Re: Pay version don't work like free one
I downloaded their 32 bit version and they both run fine in Mixcraft 9 32 and 64 bit so in Uninstalled 32 bit Mixcraft and I am going to go with that

Re: Pay version don't work like free one
Hi,
Welcome back!
I guess it would help if the makers of those plugins made an actual 64-bit version of the plugin, instead of just bridging the 32-bit version.
