Guitar Effects MC 7

Post by FlipSide »

When I click the track effects button it takes me to the effects, but I don't see that many guitar effects. Like 5 only.
Am I looking for guitar effects in the wrong place or do I have to get them from a 3rd party? If I have to download them, what is a good secure site.
I tried searching this group but didn't come up with anything. Hope you can help.
Thanks,
Ron

Komplete Start from Native Instruments is free, reputable and comes with a light version of Guitar Rig.

I like the programable Eventide H9MAX stomp box.

Hi!
Two methods I use regularly..
I have a few modelling amps (Roland Microcube, Fender Champ 20 and Behringer V-amp [all cheaply bought secondhand on ebay] Not only do they have great sounding amp models (Fender, Vox, Marshall and Messa) but they have nice FX's too - all the usual suspects. What I do is get the tone and FX I want from the amp, then jack straight from the headphone out into my audio interface. No mic or room bleed 8)
I also DI a dry signal through a cheap DI box and have Amplitude software installed, which gives me a host of other options of amps and FX to mess around with.

In addition to the other good suggestions, there are third party VST makers, way too many to mention. Most cost money, some are free. Check out the plugin section of this forum for suggestions.

Thanks Guys. I want to have some cool effects but I don't want to buy them really. I'm surprised that MC doesn't give us more guitar effects.
I'll look around and check the Plug In forum, but I think for now I'll just stick a mic in front of the old Hot Rod Deluxe through the pedal board.

Hi,

Have you tried the different presets for the guitar effects that are included with Mixcraft? Which guitar effects have you tried? You've tried Shred? You've tried Voxengo Amp Simulator?
