GSnap Pitch Correction Inquiry

So I've been messing with GSnap pitch correction in Mixcraft 7, and I am wanting to record using the Midi function rather than the fixed key function.

How can I accomplish this? I have a vocal audio track with the effect on it, and my midi keyboard hooks up so I can control the pitch correction manually, but whenever I record it doesn't actually record the real time sound of the effect.

Sorry if this is a noob question, I tried for like an hour yesterday to get it recording to my track to no avail.
