Track comping

Hi all!
I'm a new user here, just got MC Pro Studio 9 and am damn excited. There're tons of features to keep me busy and learning.
I really love the track comping features in some other DAWs. I know it is not very difficult in MC to work around, but is there a way I can do easy vocal comping other than the old cut and merge?
And if not, can it be considered for the next update?

Hi!
Like the one in Cakewalk, Cubase, Logic etc.
Where you can select clips from different lanes as you pick the best parts and all of them are merged by the DAW in the end.
I know we can just copy, paste and merge. But the comping feature can be more intuitive and a real time saver.

Hi,

Do you know about loop recording in takes mode? You create a playback loop while using takes recording mode, and record a bunch of takes, then you can decide which ones you want to keep. If you use takes recording mode, the previous takes are muted, but there's also overdub recording mode, which does't mute the previous clips.

I am aware of different modes of recording.
I was referring to the selection of best portions from multiple takes to merge them to the main one.
The comping feature in other daws improves workflow so well. Especially when recording vocals.
Please do consider for the next update if possible.

Thanks for the suggestion!

In Mixcraft, you can follow the procedure I mentioned, and after removing the takes you don't want, you can select the remaining takes and press Ctrl+W if you want to merge them into one audio clip.

One thing that will speed up your comping is to link the clips together, then they will all split at the same time in the same place. If they made them drag together that would accomplish 90% of what the other DAWs do anyway. We shall see!

Oh, be sure to unlink them before you delete them!

I wonder if you could use the omni sampler. Basically put clips on the different pads and then lay them out like a drum track
