I have never heard of it personally, but:
Generally, if there is an installer, you will want to use that. Let it install to default folders, paying attention to what those are, and making sure that Mixcraft is set to scan that folder.
Also, is this a 32bit plug-in?
Someone correct me if I am mistaken, but isnt Home Studio 32bit only?
Also, especially in the case of less common plug-ins, you might find it helpful to post a link to assist anyone who may wish to research and assist you.
