I am a long time user of MC6 and just upgraded to MC9.
I use the Presonus 2-Channel Audiobox USB for my input. I have been successful recording with a microphone and electric guitar on MC9.
I'm on Windows 10. No issues with CPU Mixcraft or System percent levels going high. CPU sticks at around 1%, System is averaging 5% when recording.
When recording, some of my tracks playback as mush. They record but it's garbage. I cannot figure out why. It happens about 25% of each take!
I have noticed that when the yellow marker that indicates where I am in the song ADVANCES ahead of the track, then that track is mush. It's toast.
I don't know why this marker would advance itself like that. Again, this happens about 25% of the time I record. Other recordings sound great.
Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Re: Sometimes it records, sometimes it's mush
Just checking in to see if someone has some advice on my MC9 recording issue. It must be something with the setup, or a Preferences setting. I cannot figure it out.
Sometimes it records great, other times that Yellow marker bar advances ahead of where I am on the recording track, and then my take is garbage. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

@vonSeydlitz
What are your sound device settings?
I would suggest as a test, trying a different buffer setting, despite what the cpu meter is saying.

Hi,
Make sure you've got the latest driver for your Audiobox, and choose ASIO mode in Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences.
