Hi, my brother recently acquired MX9 and wants to send a project to me so that I can add some guitar parts.(I also own MX9)
I'm sure there is a simple way of doing this but it's got these two computer newbies foxed. Tried sending zip in email but wouldn't work.
Can anybody help us?
Thanks so much.

Re: Sharing projects
Hi,
A simple way would be to mix down to stems and send the individual wav files
over wetransfer or a shared cloud drive.
There's a bunch of options like set to 0bd, remove automation etc. which you will need to
choose though.

Re: Sharing projects
Hi Tana.
My first question would be why it didnt work exactly.
File size exceeding maximum allowed for the internet provider/email support perhaps. Or just a lack of understanding of the process, using zip files, etc. maybe?
There are several ways to do this, depending on how you desire to work.
IE: do you want to share the project, or just record a track to add to you project?
Are you producing, or co-producing? Etc.

Re: Sharing projects
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your response.
My knowledge of the process of creating and moving files is very patchy. I attached a compressed file of a project and attached it to an email and hit send. Hours later still allegedly sending so gave up.
My brother and I want to collaborate on songs for fun: he lays down a beat and sends it to me, then maybe I put some bass down and send it back etc
He did manage to send me a project but any changes I made I was unable to save due to a pop up message saying that the present application was already in use or something like that.
I am going to try wetransfer when I get some time.

Hi Tana,
I guess there will maybe be instances of you both using different plug-ins / vst's and the like.
This is something i'm doing with the guys in my "band".. we do encounter problems when someone
has used an effect that the other hasn't got. Generally i will send them my guitar tracks in the "wet"
condition (all fx pre-baked) so they are getting the sound that I am.
It's all good fun though
