Hi All,
I've just set up a usb audio interface, a Behringer UCA-202, a very cheap one.
I have a song with three tracks, two virtual and one audio. When I play into the audio track from my midi keyboard, it also plays one of the virtual instruments. They are not linked. Any thoughts why it is doing this?
Cheers,
Rob

Hi,
Check your MIDI channel settings. If they are set to the same channel they will both play from your keyboard controller.

Re: Two tracks recording
Hu Myran,
Yes, I feel it is related, but maybe not the only issue. I changed the midi channel on the virtual chanel and could get my recording done, but it turned off the virtual instrument and I had to change the midi channel back if I wanted to hear the whole composition.
I know I am still doing something wrong, because I should have to do that, I just can't figure out how to make it work properly.
Cheers,
rob

Re: Two tracks recording
Hi,
There's no MIDI going through the UA-202, so you could just disconnect the MIDI connection while you're recording audio.
Or, even easier - you could select a virtual instrument track with no virtual instrument on it while you record audio.
