Hello
One feature I think would be incredibly useful in a future version of Mixcraft would be the importation of settings, plugins, audio and MIDI data from one project to another, similar to Logic Pro X and Cubase.
Is this something the development team would consider?
Thanks for reading!

Hi,
Based on the OP's request, I personally wouldn't look at this suggestion as a template. Let's say I had made an orchestration with a bunch of tracks, instruments, effects - a complete song/project. I don't want to have to load that up and delete the tracks and save it as a template. I want to start a new project, and then select an import option : "Import settings and track layout from existing Project ..." . The goal is to load all of the instruments, effects, layout, mixer, midi controller assignments, etc and etc. from some other project I created or someone else created and sent to me - without loading all of the actual track clips.

Hi,
When you save as a template, you don't have to delete anything.

Hi,
So, Mixcraft can currently save plugins, settings, etc. in template files (choose that option in File Type when using Save As). But it wouldn't save the audio or MIDI in the project.
This suggestion is a bit different - it asks to include the MIDI and audio, which raises the question: how would that work, exactly? It's more of a "merge projects" suggestion. I guess you'd just tack the new stuff at the end of the old stuff? But if it had virtual instruments, you'd have to add new virtual instrument tracks. It might lead to unexpected results with submixes and the other track types.
