I installed an older Cubase Elements5. It just goes like that.
1. Midi track =MT Powerkit drum (here I set an addictive drum at the output)

2. Midi track = Addictive drum
here at the MT Power Kit input

Works great.

No, there are still no midi data on the tracks
Maybe that's the mistake.

But I don't need that with Cubase either. When I knock on the toms of the MT Powerkit I hear the addictive drum

Hi,

Route To Track is routing MIDI on the track to the other track. If there's no MIDI on the track, then there's nothing to route.

Have you tried putting both EDDrummer and Addictive Drums on the same track?

Oh! So, you want to be able to play live on one drum plugin but have another drum plugin make the sound? Wouldn't it be simpler just to record live playing on one and then change out the kit to the other after the fact?

also a little confused, but let me chuck in my thought.. Drum maps?
EZDrummer midi notes for individual kit pieces would not necessarily correspond to Addictive or MT drums?
Dunno - just asking for a friend :?

Here is an example in Cubase of what I want to do with Mixcraft 8. I set the video so that it starts right there, what I'm talking about.

Based on what I see in this video, if you are only using pre-existing grooves, you only need to drag them from EZD to AD in a separate instrument track. There's no need to have them play simultaneously. But that's just me. 8)

Do you mean you want to route the midi output of one drum sampler to drive the samples in a second drum sampler?

I have no idea if that is possible in Mixcraft8 (or 9 for that matter)
And I tend to agree with jwarv- it seems like an unnecessarily complicated way to work...

I tend to keep it really simple. I either program midi drums in the DAW to drive the samples of choice, or if I find a midi groove I like in a drum sampler, I prefer to eventually move it into the DAW for further editing.

But if there is a way, it would be interesting to learn about. (Though my "old timers memory" wouldnt be likely to retain much of it...)

Can't imagine that this is not possible with Mixcraft as shown in the video

Hi,

Did you try putting both virtual instruments on the same track?

Hi,

With drums, not all notes make sounds, so double-check that the notes you are using do play a drum part produce sound for both virtual instruments.

Does it work if you use Acoustic Piano instead of Addictive Drums? (Just as a test).
