I just loaded MX9 Pro onto a new laptop but when I went to activate Melodyne Mixcraft closed down completely. I've tried it three times with the same result. Any thoughts on that?

Hi,
Go to Celemony.com and activate it there, using your Melodyne Essentials serial number, which I'll email to you. They allow you to activate it on up to two computers.
You can also find all your registration codes and serial numbers here: Acoustica Login.
