Noise Issue

Hi Guys.

I'm using Mixcraft 9 Pro.

Audio Interface Behringer U Phoria UMC22

For some reason I'm getting a lot of static and noise on my Audio recordings.
Its never been there before and has suddenly arrived.

I've checked cables etc and cant locate the problem

Hi,

Try to isolate where the noise is coming from. Are you using a microphone? Can you try different microphones and cables?

If you mix down to an audio file, does the audio file have the noise and static?

Hi Greg,

Its coming from the Mic alright.

I've stuck a brand mew cable on and the mic is new also.

Its worth a shot trying another mic cable.

I'll give that a shot when the stores open tomorrow

Which microphone? Does it require phantom power? Is the +48V switch on or off?

Also, depending on which mic you have, check the male connector on the barrel.

I bought a brand new one from Sweetwater and the fitting was totally loose. There's a micro screw that needed tightening.

I’m using a Sure Beta 58.

The noise has suddenly appeared.

It was never an issue before.

I’ve ordered a replacement mic cable to eliminate that one
