RipX VST3

Post by Dorpond »

So I just purchased RipX and just figured it would work in Mixcraft since it has a VST3 Plugin.

I can see it in the list of choices to pick inside of Mixcraft, but when I select it, it says "Please add RipLink as an ARA Extension / Event FX".
I don't know what that means and I am not sure if this is a fix I need to do within Mixcraft or something I need to do with RipX - hopefully someone can shine some light.

Here is their website, in case you are not aware of their awesome tools:

Hi,

It sounds like they want the plugin to be integrated into the host software. That's what the "ARA" part means. We use ARA to integrate Melodyne into Mixcraft, but we don't support it for RipX.

Hi,

Specifically for Mixcraft on the website, it sounds like you have to treat it as a standalone program and use it through the wave editor option - you don't run it as a plugin.
Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, FL Studio, ACID Pro, Digital Performer & Mixcraft users can set RipX DeepAudio as the external sample editor, or by using general audio import and export methods.
You can find the settings under Preferences > General [External Wave Editor]
