New song.... cover

Hi,

I rarely do covers, because I don´t feel I have much to contribute to an already finished song. But in this case I made an exeption...

I had a go at Fleetwood Mac´s "Never Going Back", and it took me five years of practicing the gutiar melody. Also, Lyndsey Buckingham recorded two guitar tracks for this song, one on the right and one on the left. The right hand guitar is the motif we all know, and there are great tutorials on You Tube, and that was how I learned it.

But, guitar number two (the left) is not on You Tube as far as I can make it. Instead I had to listen carefully to what was happening on the left side in the head phones. First I though he just recorded the same guitar line twice, but he didn´t. Sometimes the guitars are in unison, playing the same melody, sometimes the left plays counter melodies and drifts in and out of the main guitar motif.

Anyway, I always envsioned this song in a jazz trio format, and that´s how I recorded it. I also added my own solos in a style I thought fitted this jazz trio format.
