Babyface Pro FS settings for recording

Post by timurovec » Mon May 15, 2023 4:55 pm

How can I setup in and out preferences of Mixcraft to record and monitoring the sound via Babyface Pro? I use input 3 for guitar and 3.5 phones input but I use PC speakers instead headphones and I don't hear any sound.

Hi,

Go to their web page to download and install the latest Windows driver for the Babyface Pro: https://www.rme-audio.de/babyface-pro-fs.html

If you're using ASIO, you'll need to attach headphones to it in order to hear playback. Check your settings in Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences.

I use their driver and I put ASIO in preferences in Mixcraft, but I have no an option to use headpones' output there.

You plug your headphones into the interface.

Nope, I plugged speakers in headphones' input. And I have a sound while I play something on my computer but it doesn't work when I try it in Mixcraft. And I have no option to set headpones output up there.

Hi,

If you plug headphones into the Babyface headphone output port, do you have sound?

If not, check the Playback Device setting in Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences. Also, when selecting ASIO, check and make sure the Babyface Pro is selected in the ASIO Device setting.

I plugged speakers in headphones' input.
What are you doing with the monitor outputs? Doesn't make sense not to have some cables for that and use the headphone jack as intended.

My speakers have only 3,5 jack output, where can I connect them instead headpones' connector of Babyface?

2X XLR balanced outputs for powered monitors. Per product description and users manual.
Stay in tune, Mark
