Problems with exporting a take

Post by Ray Cube »

Hi.

Still getting to grips with the program. It's still blowing my mind.

I managed to record with a microphone into Mixcraft and play back and trim the sections I wanted, EQ'ed etc, but then wanted to export individual sections and no matter what I try I always get a file that is the length of the project and not the selected section.
These are very small sections of around a second and a half. Is there any way of exporting these as individual sound files that are only the length of the selected section?

Hi

Try selecting all in the timeline, then check the 'Use Selection' box, when you mix down...

Is there any way to mix down the area between markers instead of a selection?

Hi

Yes. Select your section and In the dialog box that opens, just select 'use selection'

Ya I know that already, but it's a pain to do each time and difficult to make the exact same selection each time. It would be much easier and consistent if you could just export the area between markers.

There's sort of a way...

If you set the marker type to be CD it will output a separate mixed down track at each marker changed to that type (for creating multiple tracks for an album or CD)
