Ghost Project Mixcraft 10 Pro
Just downloaded the program and been playing around. Might be me but on several projects I have when I go open the project i get two copies to select from. One shows Mixcraft 9 and the other shows Mixcraft 10. Different file sizes also. When I load the Mixcraft 10 file it loads and crashes. When I load the Mixcraft 9 file it's fine. After I go back to the project location after the crash there is only one file the Mixcraft 10 file. Am I seeing ghosts?

Hi,
I haven't seen anything like that. Did you load Mixcraft 9 projects into Mixcraft 10 and save them? That would create a new Mixcraft 10 project file.
If it happens again, send in your log file. With Mixcraft 10 you can go into General preferences and click Show Logs to find the log files.
Previous versions of Mixcraft put the logs here:
%appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft
Mixcraft 10 puts them in a Logs subfolder:
%appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft\Logs
Plus, there's a new Backuplogs folder that has the previous 10 log files.

Re: Ghost Project Mixcraft 10 Pro
I've had that happen (leftover MC #8 projects) since the beginning of 9. I just assumed that's how it was supposed to be, since I still had #8 installed at the time. Same is happening now with 10. There are duplicates of the same project, with the same name, in the same folder, but no disputes about it from Windows. I just delete the old project and go on with life. Is #10 supposed to overwrite #9 projects automatically?

Hi,
Do you guys have file extensions hidden in Windows? Try un-hiding file extensions.
If you load a Mixcraft 8 project called MySong and save it in Mixcraft 10, you'd have two files with the same name but different file extensions:
MySong.mx8
MySong.mx10
But by default, the extensions are hidden.
File extensions in Windows.

Ah, there you go. It was unchecked. I group by type, so probably why I didn't use extensions. Thanks!
