Ooh! That seemingly minor little improvement is actually very useful! (Finally, I might add without being too critical... )

Hi,
With every major upgrade, we always add a bunch of little things like this that aren't big bullet point items.

It's a very very very great thing, I use it a lot !
Now the beta is over I notice something I didn't notice when I was trying MX10 these past months, you know when I need to duplicate a piece of clip to a below track, I used to do SHIFT + ALT + drag it down and it "locked" the position of the clip vertically or horizontally. Now it can't lock it vertically anymore.
But hell I love this SHIFT Snap Off feature ! Very useful !

Hi,
Yeah, that restraining feature is now Ctrl+Shift.
But you're right, there's currently no duplicate and restrain sideways movement at the same time. We'll add that.

Re: Mixcraft 10 tip: hold down the Shift key to temporarily turn off snap
Would it be possible to make this feature something we can turn off in preferences? Or even add it to the hotkeys so users can pick whatever works for them?
It's really messed with my workflow - in previous versions I would often use shift+click to quickly make selections that snap to the grid and now that holding shift puts you in "snap off" I can't do that anymore. For some reason I also cannot at all use shift+click to make selections on clips anymore which I used profusely in previous versions for quickly automating clip parameters.
I know I can click and drag to make the selections, but it's kind of a drag

Hi,
Shift+click seems to still work for that? Which build of Mixcraft 10 are you using?

Hi,
We're planning on adding an option to disable this in the next update.
