with all due respect you should learn abit from abelton.. about many aspects..

A) why dont you have a gain slider.. instead of just normalize.. for a sample..

b) why theirs no warp option for alpha sampler.. so the speed of the sample wont change when you play different keys?

c) why theirs no option for mix to new track.. a chosen area.. that includes..midi as well..

d) why you cancled delete all empty lanes option?

e) why cant we play a track section from the middle as well..

f) why not let play selected sub tracks instead of only one?

i should be one of your coders :)

Hi,

Delete Empty Lanes is here if you right-click on the track itself:

Delete empty lanes.

I'm guessing you're right-clicking on the track header. That option accidentally got hidden there during beta testing, and it will be back in the next update.
e) why cant we play a track section from the middle as well..

f) why not let play selected sub tracks instead of only one?
What do you mean by these? You can certainly do both of those things right now.

For the sub-tracks, you could solo multiple tracks.

ok one really important thing im really surprised you dont have in your app..

Its wait for key.. recording option.. when the recording begins only when a midi key is being pressed (example: piano)
or maybe even wait sound .. option..

i made some little track recording software.. and if i have it on my software , theirs no reason you shouldn't..

its so basic.. that i was shocked first time i used mixcraft to discover it does not exist..

Theirs lots of small stuff that can improve the experience of using mixcraft..
*when we open the metronome window.. why cant it be closed when a mouse click is outside of the metronome window.. instead of being forced to press the X button?

* when we long press the tempo number, why cant we not take it up and down like in ableton.. without actually typing the tempo?

cheers.

With all due respect, you keep making comparisons to Ableton.., my suggestion is go use Ableton then. Do you realize how small Acoustica is compared to a company like Ableton? The developers over at Acoustica have done an amazing job with Mixcraft over the years with a small team. It’s not perfect, as no DAW is, but it’s certainly a serious contender IMO. I’m not a fanboy either because I also use (and own) Studio One, Ableton, Cakewalk, and Reaper. Again, I suggest you go with Ableton based on your posts.

Exactly!

For every single person who knocks it, there are hundreds more who love it.

And if Mixcraft becomes anything like Ableton, I'll quit making music. :(

i knew someone would jump on me for mentioning abelton lol, so i wasnt offended
i could easily describe stuff without ever mentioning abelton, thats not the issue..
and i sure know the difference of team sizes between the two!

I love mixcraft!!!!!!!! im not going to ever leave it..
I just want it to be greater!
and anyways.. some of the things ive mentioned are so! Tiny that the can be coded in one hour!

As a coder i know what im speaking of...

since i love Mixcraft so much..
I would love it to make minor changes.. that will tremendously improve the experience..

the bigger stuff i totally understand if they wont happen anytime soon

im also quite sure people will be happy to pay extra for having certain stuff they want..

anyway here are the small stuff that can be fixed/added very easily..

Metronome window gets closed when mouse click outside of the window..
Tempo can be changed by holding left mouse button down and moving mouse up and down..

the rest like wait for midi to begin recording is a bigger task.. so that is mixcraft decision whether to add or not..

and btw they dont have it on Abelton either.. and thats the last time im gonna mention Abelton here :)

I want to praise MixCraft! because I love when people are doing the right thing as this guys have!
same way i used to love My Amiga back than

Cheers..

I don't know enough to be dangerous, but I've surfed the web enough to know that virtually every DAW out there lacks some feature, functionality, or the like that users of that DAW wish theirs had (Such and such DAW can do this, why not my DAW?).

Not trying to make excuses, but I don't expect a $149 DAW to have all the bells and whistles that a $749 (current MSRP of Ableton Live 11 Suite) DAW has. Every design project...software or hardware...is an amalgamation of compromises, especially if you ever want to deliver the final product. I also don't know how hard it is to implement certain features or functions. If the basic way a program was written would require a complete re-write to implement one feature, that feature ain't happening. If someone doesn't like how MX10 works, they are free to go and purchase a product that better suits their needs...but I would suspect you will be paying at least twice the price of MX10.

I find MX to be intuitive and easy to work with. It does the basics well (or well enough) for me, and does a LOT more than just the basics. When the cheapest version of Ableton that will allow you unlimited tracks costs $449, I found the purchase decision to be an easy one. If you are a professional content producer who is actually generating revenue from your work, maybe MX shouldn't be your DAW of choice if it doesn't maximize your workflow and productivity. Or maybe MX would be the most productive DAW for you...it comes down to how you work and what features are essential for/to you.

Also i want to mention that each app has its downsides and upsides
