Waves SSL G Master Bus Compressor Needle Doesn’t work?

So, here's something interesting. On a hunch (or act of desperation), I Alt/dragged SSL from a track where the needle was working and copied it to another track on which is was not working and voila! It carried over. Still not sure why, but glad I can monitor it properly now.

The solution for now is to use the VST2 version and not the VST3 version.

OK, but unfortunately all that are available in the plug-in manager are vst3.

So, it turns out that the needle only works in the mono version, not stereo. Usable, but need to apply stereomaker plugin if I want a spread.

Well, scratch the vst2 idea.

I also wish I'd read this thread properly. I also got this plugin today, along with four others and only two of them are showing - this not being one of them?

Ouch, is it the 2 free ones that came with the package? Thats what happened to me. If you still have mx9, try opening them there. Worked fine there.

Yeah I bought Magma Springs and SSL G-Master Buss Compressor and took Inphase and Nx Germano Studios New York as freebies.

I can only see Magma Springs in Plugin Manager? They're not showing up in Mixcraft 9 either?

BTW, the needle doesn't work in MX 9 either. But it does work when I run it in Sound Forge. So, looking like a Mixcraft issue.

Pretty sure you would find that it's not just the meter, the compressor plug-in isn't doing anything.
The VST3 version never worked in Mixcraft to my knowledge. I have used the vst version, which did work.

Unless you count gain adjustment. That works. But working blind.

Correct. The plug-ins gain correction does change the level.

I've just tried it in Studio One and all the plugins missing in Mixcraft are all there and working fine? So this has to be a Mixcraft issue that needs investigating?

Greg helped me with that issue. Had to delete some files, then start Mixcraft. It ran a complete scan (longer wait) on all the plugins and the missing Waves appeared. You may need to submit a ticket so they can let you know if there's anything else yo need to do.
