Track Panning Problem

Post by TrevsAudio »

Hi guys, hope you're all recovering well from the festivities.

Take a look at this pic. My Cello is panned 34% right; but now, with the approaching solo, I want it to be centre panned, then back to 34% right after the solo.

In the automation lane, despite the panning, it shows as being panned centre.

Wazzup?

EDIT: I solved my problem by centering the track pan and the doing the panning (34R>Centre>34R) with clip automation.

But is that original senario perhaps a bug?

I find it a lot easier to use two duplicate tracks: in your case one at 34% right and one at centre. Then just cut the clip and put the relevant parts in the relevant track. That way you can see clearly what is happening on playback as well as hearing it.
