In the Lane menu it would be nice to have Track Shrink..
This means it shrinks all the not overlapping Track Sections..

Not sure if I understand what you mean - could you maybe post a screenshot?
Lane height can be adjusted just by increasing or decreasing the track height - just grab the bottom of the track and move it up or down.

Re: Track Lanes Shrink.. Suggestion
If I understand the suggestion, I think it would be to move or combine all those clips on various lanes for a track into the fewest lanes possible without overlapping clips.
For example if you had 10 lanes each with a clip and the start of each clip was offset from the previous lane by say a measure, you could use "Shrink Lanes" to combine all of those lanes into one lane. If one of the lanes' clips was directly under another clip, that clip couldn't be moved up so you might end up with 2 lanes in the above example.

Ah, gotcha! Yes, I could see how that could be beneficial.
Once I've chopped mine up into phrases (in my example) I 'save as' to retain all takes, then individually move the keepers to the top lane with the Ctrl + Shift method, finalizing with a merge.
Worthwhile - this one gets my vote.

That would be useful. You could also be asked whether you want to remove all muted/unused clips before shrinkingcactus-head wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 12:57 pm If I understand the suggestion, I think it would be to move or combine all those clips on various lanes for a track into the fewest lanes possible without overlapping clips.

Maybe like this?
Selecting a section in one take automatically deselects the same section in another take. The comp sections, located in the top lane of the take folder, reflect the combined selections from all takes. The vertical lines in the comp overview indicate the transitions between the different take sections.

But is all of this really that much more useful than mixdown track or midi merge? The only advantage I see is that you still have the individual clips instead of just one clip.

And even then, you could 'save as' before comping, so you have a record of all the original clips and takes.
