Although I've used Mixcraft all the way back to version 2, I've mostly been using it as a replacement for the ol' MP3 Audio Mixer. (Remember .SGP files?)
Anyway, I've just started actually recording my own songs.
I applied the Melodyne 5.3.1 plug in Mixcraft 10.1. to some vocal tracks, but when it's engaged, I lose the volume & pan automation. I'm sure there's a setting somewhere, but haven't found it yet.
Thanks.

Re: Melodyne 5 overrides volume and pan automation
Hi,
Are you putting the automation on the clip itself or on the track's automation lane? Which version and build of Mixcraft are you using?

I'm not sure how to answer the first question. I just did it as a plug-in. You can see where the volume of the track is supposed to drop out, but it doesn't. I'm super new to Melodyne (obviously, lol).
Thanks for your help Greg!

Would I have to "Mix To New Clip" to achieve the results I'm looking for?

Hi,
Looking at your screenshot, you've got the automation on the clip itself. It also appears you're using Melodyne by choosing it from the list of effects. Did you add the automation before you transferred the sound into Melodyne, or afterward? If you did it before, you probably just need to transfer it again. But if you have Mixcraft 10 Pro Studio, you can also try using the integrated Melodyne that's available on the Sound Tab instead of the FX version.
Greg
P.S. Just FYI, the track automation is here:

Ah! All good helpful stuff.
I applied the automation on the clip after I did the Melodyne via the FX button.
I'll keep experimenting.
