96kHz Query
Normally I record at 48kHz/24 bit. But I am considering recording vocals at 96kHz because artifacts are reduced when using Melodyne. If I record everything else at 48kHz and only the vocals at 96kHz, will MC recognise the 96kHz, or will it just convert on the fly to be the same as the other wavs in the project?

Hi,
I think it would have to down sample or else the playback speed of the 96 wouldn't match the 48. At a playback rate of 48, only half of the 96 data would be replayed for any particular instant. That means the sound is slowed down or the 96 has to down sample to the lower resolution.
