Pianissimo produces sound from it's GUI keys in Mixcraft and the standalone as it should.
But while it plays a MIDI track just fine in all versions of Sonar/Cakewalk, the GUI keys no longer work.
I've checked all the settings and can't find a reason for this. TruePianos works as expected in Sonar/Cakewalk.

Have you tried contacting Cakewalk about this problem?

Thanks Greg. Buzy summer. I posted on Cake's forum as well but so far no one has answered. I doubt it will be resolved without reinstalling something or everything.

Re: Pianissimo VST Keys Don't Play in Cakewalk
Update: The issue playing keys with the mouse not making sound is with the 64 bit VST (v1.0.0.15) in Cakewalk. I can load the 32 bit VST (v1.0.0.12) in Cakewalk using BitBridge and the keys work. This is a work around so seems like the 64 bit version may have a bug. It could also be affected by a Cakewalk update or a Windows update because I did not have this issue a year ago.

Hi,
The 64-bit VST version of Pianissimo was made for use in Mixcraft Pro Studio. We never made a 64-bit release of it for third-party DAWs. That might be part of the problem.
