Stream into DAW

Post by bryzar »

Hi there
What I want to do is stream radio audio into my DAW. I want to do this just as a quick reference A/B (mute/solo) of a track I might be working on ie. how the track I am working on sounds up against a typical track from a commercial radio station through lower quality speakers.
Is this possible?

I saw something similar in Reaper, this plugin was called ReaStream or ReaCast. I'm not sure if there is something similar in mixcraft.

You can try the Voicemeeter plugin, it's been mentioned here before, I've also worked with it a couple times. If you set up the plugin correctly, through the monitoring function in mixcraft you can directly record/stream audio from video directly to the station.

Voicemeeter virtual cables and VM Banana are very useful tools for all kinds of stuff. And the price is right, free!
