Melodyne Assistant Upgrade Shows Blank Page, Not Showing the Audio

Post by ConnollyMusicCreates »

I just upgraded from Melodyne Essential to Melodyne Assistant. When I was using Essential I just clicked on an audio track and it opened straight up in Melodyne. Now with the upgrade all it's doing is bringing up a blank page. I can add it as a plugin but it still brings up a blank page. Not sure what I'm missing. Thanks

Hi,

Is this still happening after you've restarted your computer? If so, you might want to go into Windows Apps settings to uninstall any Melodyne items in there, then install Assistant again. It seems like Melodyne sometimes needs old files cleared out.

I did try those moves but I'll try it again and see what happens.

Hi,

You uninstalled Melodyne? Make sure you get all the Melodyne items in the apps list (in case there's an old one lurking in there).

I tried these things but it's still having issues. With Essential I could click on an audio track and it just came up and I could do some edits. Now it looks like I have to add it as an effect on the track but it still doesn't open the audio, so I'm looking at a blank version of Assistant. I tried dragging and dropping a file from the backup folder but that didn't do anything either. Maybe I'm missing something but is it supposed to only be a VST or should I be able to just click on any audio file and it should open?

Hi,

Assistant should show up on the Sound tab just like Melodyne 5 Essential did. Which version of Assistant did you install?

It's the latest version - 5.4.1.004 - but it's not showing up in the Sound tab. Also haven't had a chance to tweak it yet but it looks like I can drop in an entire folder and that might give me some room to work. But why doesn't it just open up from the audio track like it always has before? Frustrating.

Greg, has Melodyne not shown up in the Sound tab menu before? It is still not there and I've uninstalled/reinstalled several times at this point. Thanks. Dan

Hi,

Please send us your Mixcraft log files.

1. Open Mixcraft and go to the program preferences by clicking the small "gear" icon at the top of the Main window..
2. Select the "General" section.
3. Click the button that says "Zip Up Logs".
4. Attach that zip file to a support ticket here.
