Recording vocals following a music track

Post by Enanito Verde »

I made a song (Instruments only) I have it on track 1...Now I need to record the vocals only on track 2, while listening to track no. 1...But I dont want to record track 1, just the vocals to tweak with the effects on the voice then mix them at a later time. How in the world can I do it?

Driving me nuts

Thanks Guys!

So, presumably, when you recorded on track one you selected arm on track 1 (the track colour is red). So, if you want to record on track 2, select arm on track 2 (make it red), but remember to unarm track one (press the arm button on track one, so it's not red).

Vouleur, now you should be able to record on track 2 whilst lsitening to track 1 (and not recording over it).

Thanks for your speedy answer...the problem is that track 1 is mute or sound cancels out while recording track 2. I can't hear anything from that track.

I've tried everything at "preferences" but nothing seems to work so far.
I can't find anything on the forums to this respect. I hope you come with the answer BOG Coz am sure I won't... so far nada.

Thanks BOG
