Just starting to really play with Mixcraft. What I am trying to figure out is this:
Can the sound cards mic input be diverted into the Mixcraft Instrunent interfaces such as the minimougeVA so that vocal effects can be used?
If not this would be a great enhancement to the program .. Vocal Robot sounds, etc.
Thank in advance for any input into this question.

re
You can record your voice with a mic connected to the sound cards mic input, then add any effect you want. But to input from an analog source into a midi virtual instrument is not possble.

Thank you for your reply Eric, however I think that you did not understand my question. Yes, I do know how to use the mic for recording and adding post production effects.
What I am asking is using the mic to directly manipulate the VCO's in the minimougeVA module to entirely change the voice output during recording. This is inline live effects in real time.
Thank you again

Hi,
You could use a vocoder plugin and make sure that monitoring is turned on. You can't do that with just any virtual instrument.
We have a vocoder plugin on Mixcraft's plugins page.
