Has anyone Pedal Steel or LapSteel VST experience?

Post by ppayne »

Hi,

have any of you already used one of these Pedal Steel or LapSteel Guitar VSTs? They are all expensive but they all have no trial versions I could test. Maybe one of you has already some experience with it? do they work in Mixcraft?

I have not...Wavelore and Orange Tree are the two names I keep hear popping up when it comes to steel guitars FYI.

I got the one from Impact Soundworks. They offered it for 90 euros and I also got a 10% voucher. Sounds very good and runs smoothly in Kontakt 7 with Mixcraft.

Cool! I'd be curious how you get along with it over time. It's a niche VI I don't have yet.

Haven't used them all, but Ample Sound stuff is usually solid. Impact Soundworks also has a good rep. No trials sucks, I know. They should work in Mixcraft as long as it supports VST3. Maybe check some YouTube demos to get a feel?
