Raising or lowering ALL volume automation in a section
A little while ago, I misclicked and did this accidentally, but I have always wanted to know how to do this (on purpose) but cannot figure out what I did.
I want to be able to lower or raise an entire section of volume automation at once, but not raise the volume for the entire track.
I have highlighted the section of the automation and grabbed one of the handles, but that only raises or lowers the volume between those two dots. I want to do it in an entire selection. How do I do that?
Talking lane automation, not clip automation.

Hi,
I think there may be a bug in MC 10. I'm using a past beta version 10 622 and the behavior is not right.
You should be able to select an entire section with a drag box. When you move the mouse within the selection, an icon with a circle with a line through it should appear. Clicking and dragging this icon up or down should adjust the automation for the entire section. When I try and click on this, it deselects the entire section which is NOT supposed to happen.
Below is what is supposed to happen (MC 9):

That is exactly what I am trying to do, and I swear that I accidentally activated it, but IDK how. I'll tinker around when I get the chance.
EDIT--If I RIGHT-click in the selected area, I get the dialog box with the boost and cut section. This works as it should. That's not what I did before, but I'm ahead of where I was
The key combos given when I mouse over the boost and reduce choices seem to work, as well. Just not going to remember those intuitively.

Are you using MC 10 or 9? I think MC 10 has a bug that is preventing this from happening

Hi,
I've filed a bug report on this. Looks like it's been in Mixcraft 10 from the beginning, but nobody reported it.

It should work also by moving any of the automation dots (red) on selected area.

Re: Raising or lowering ALL volume automation in a section
That's a good tip. It does work if you grab one of the selected automation points. Tested in MC 10.6 625It should work also by moving any of the automation dots (red) on selected area.
Re: Raising or lowering ALL volume automation in a section
I can't replicate that behaviour.
Like your example my dots remain blue with the exception of the first and last dots which remain where they are within the selected area and grabbing a blue dot does not work whereas grabbing the volume handle does but does not move the two end points.

Hi Ray
I find this only works in the Automation lane - not clip gain.

Re: Raising or lowering ALL volume automation in a section
Like ray pointed out, clip automation is a little different. The grab bar dragging works, at least if you use the one furthest to the right in the clip. Using one in the middle or left doesn't move the end point.
Trying to drag groups by grabbing a selected point doesn't work. You'll notice in the GIF, when I stop moving the group, the first point on the left jumps to its original position. This doesn't happen if I grab the far left grab bar but in that case the far right end point won't move. I would say the clip automation is buggy too in this regard.
