Hello,
Not sure if this is a bug or functionality that was not built in but I am unable to move to different selections using the arrow keys and keyboard in general in the change instrument dialog without specifically using the mouse and clicking in a menu or list. If I click on a category, I can move the selection up or down and it will list the instruments available in that category, however I cannot select any of the instruments with the keyboard, I have to specifically click on an instrument with the mouse.
If I click on an instrument with the mouse, I can move up or down among the listed instruments but it autoloads each instrument - automatically selecting it. This takes forever to get through a list and I don't necessarily want to replace what I had previously selected. There's no navigating with keys and then using space or enter or something to select the instrument I want.

Try selecting your midi track and then any instrument in the right hand pane. Then hold down Ctrl while using the up or down arrows. Holding down an arrow key will go down many instruments but can't be seen in real time but quick stabs at the up and down keys will jump one instrument at a time.
Yes it does change the instrument each time.

Hi,
no difference. Moving the arrows in the change instrument box doesn't really do anything unless I click in a specific area first.

Yes, sorry.
There doesn't seem to be any provision for doing that in the hotkeys section.
Maybe add that as a feature you would like to have in the next release.
It seems to be the way a lot of different creative programs work using a mixture of keyboard shortcuts along with the mouse.

Hi,
That's the way it pretty much works in Mixcraft 9 as well, except for the part about automatically opening the plugin's GUI. You can go into Plug-In preferences to turn off that option if you want. (See image below).
It would be nice to be able to navigate the Change Instrument dialog with arrow keys, with maybe an option to tab between the various areas, with an option to hit enter to open the plugin. Thanks for the suggestion!
