unable to load VST3 on mixcraft 10.6 latest versiom
I just realized that mixcraft is unable to load my reason vst and some of my steinberg effects which are also vst3 (these are not important). I have tried reloading with no success. Im not using the latest version of reason (version 11). Is there a way to load it as i have friktion and Objekt there which i would like to be able to use.

Hi,
Certain plugins are proprietary and require a license or something installed with the software or DAW that they came from or were built for. Some plugins can't be used with other DAWs. That may be the case here.

You should be able to use rewire to control and use Reason within Mixcraft.
Mixcraft 9 Recording Studio.
Mixcraft 10 Pro.
Windows 10 Enterprise.

All my purchases from Reason studios like Friktion and Objekt use reason vst3 and its working perfectly fine in Cubase 13. Is there a limitation with mixcraft 10.6???
Posting pictures of reason rack inside cubase 13,

Hi,
Do you have Mixcraft 10.6 build 630 installed? If not, check for updates and install it.
If the problem is happening with build 630, please go into Mixcraft's General preferences, zip up your log files, and send them to us: https://acoustica.kayako.com/conversation/new

The installation of Reason Rack creates a folder structure in vst3 and with that structure it doesn't work in Mixcraft, what I did was to create a folder called Reason Rack and put all the files from the previous one there. Without that folder structure. It worked for me.

I put a picture as I have it, it is in Spanish but it is understood. You have to copy all those files to the new folder. Then you have to delete the Reason Rack Plugin.Vst3 folder. This is how I did it to make it work, the bad thing is that if there is a new Reason update, we will have the same problem. Let's see if Mixcraft solves this problem.

Hi,
Mixcraft can certainly load VST3 plugins from sub-folders. What is the folder structure that Reason installs? Which version of Reason Rack are you using?
Did you ever send in your log files?

Hello again,
Here's something to try: put the files back the way they were, then go into Mixcraft's Plug-Ins manager, find Reason Rack in the "Unable to Load" section, click on the word Unloadable, and change it to Attempt to Load. Next, right-click on it and turn off the option to scan it in Safe Mode.
Click OK and restart Mixcraft. The problem should be fixed.
Check out the FAQ for pictures: https://acoustica.kayako.com/article/68 ... in-manager
What's going on? Starting with build 618, we made it so that all VST3 plugins are scanned in Safe Mode. Safe Mode runs the plugin in a shell so that if the plugin is buggy and crashes, it won't cause Mixcraft to crash also. Most VST3 plugins can be scanned in Safe Mode with no problems, but apparently Reason Rack doesn't like it.

Re: unable to load VST3 on mixcraft 10.6 latest versiom
Because i didn't need the full version of reason, I'm using Reason Lite version 11 to be able to load my plugins. I was waiting for Carlos's answer to see if that helped but the solution was turning off safe mode and it finally loaded! Thanks!!!!!!!Acoustica Greg wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:02 am Hi,

I'm very tired at the moment, as i had a very busy day at work, but tomorrow i will see how the plugin works inside mixcraft.

The folder structure that Reason install is: Reason Rack Plugin.vst3/Contents/X86_64-winAcoustica Greg wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:02 am Hi,

for some reason that escapes me it did not work with that folder structure and I had to do what I explained above, it is the only one that gives problems. When they update it again it will re-create the same structure, I will try the solution above.

Hi,
I tried the folder structure thing and it didn't help me. Turning off scanning in Safe Mode for Reason Rack VST3 is the way to go, and it works with the original folder structure.
