Yes - what Greg says. Looks like you were singing sharp. The greyed out areas are where Melodyne thinks the pitch should be. It won't automatically correct the pitch. Also, with those notes highlighted as they are, just double clicking on any one will bring them down to the correct (greyed) pitch.

Hi, noticed these settings to the right of 'snap to', which I set at 100%
Is this cool please?
Thanks!

Hi.
I personally wouldn't use those settings - things might start sounding a little 'robotic'. Here's an excellent video to help you understand this...

That's an interesting video, thanks, I have a lot of trouble with peaks & troughs in vocals, for example.TrevsAudio wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 4:07 pm Hi.

Yes, robotic, I noticed that ... so I worked with parallel vocals, one processed, the other not. When the robot
tone/s came in, I eased them out, & worked in the original vocal - that seemed to work okay.
Here's something I discovered today, the Finalize button - it appears to explain why my results
still sounded like the original vocal, because saving in Mixcraft did not save the Melodyne effect?

Re: Pitch correction software - Waves?
Because I ran the 1st take back through Melodyne, that I had processed in Melodyne, only to find that the software had not saved the processed version, it had reverted back to the original vocal.
When I clicked 'Finalize', however, that saved the processed version.

Hi,
Finalize just renders your changes to a wav file. It should reflect whatever Melodyne changes you made when you click it. It's not necessary to use it.
Why is it there? It frees up processing power for other things besides running Melodyne.

Re: Pitch correction software - Waves?
Thanks Greg,
What I was doing, was processing a vocal file on one pc, mixing it down to a WAV, then importing it into a different pc. I
found the files that I did not Finalize were reverting to the original tone I sang in ~ all the 'snap-to' processing just vanished.
When I Finalized the vocal, then re-imported it, the Melodyne changes stuck, snapped-to the scale I was using.
Possibly, if I was doing the entire project on one pc, then I wouldn't need to Finalize Melodyne?
So far so good, anyway!
