I have searched the forum, the manual and the online tutorials to no avail. What I would like to do is to be able to see the grid lines THROUGH the audio recording, both on the track and the sound modules. I found one posting where a user ( Mark Bliss if you want to look it up ) shows how to code different colors within Mixcraft. I'm reluctant to try that if I can solve my problem otherwise.
I especially have problems when using the "warp" feature being able to tell where the grid lines actually are. I have tried both the light and the dark skins to no avail. Is there any way to make the grid lines bolder or a different color?
Also, I'm confused about the Sound vs Track views. The audio wave does not line up the same with the track view and the sound view. My first step in using warp was to move the audio file so that beat 1 was on the second beat of the grid line. For instance when I move the caret on the track view to the grid line right at 2, on the Soundview, the caret moves to 1.3.2.
When I physically move the audio in the track view, the audio view stays the same. I am sure that this is something that I am not understanding.
Sorry for the rambling, but I'm not certain how to explain myself. Thanks for your help.
Suggestions?

Re: Grid Lines in tracks and Sound module difficult to see
Hi,
Don't know if this will be of much help. I don't think there are any transparency options for the clips to be able to see the grid lines - even if the colors are changed.
There is a "works but may not be ideal" option for the track view. Create a submix track and add the audio or midi track to that. Inside the submix track, the audio will be semi transparent and you will be able to see the grid lines through it.
For the detail area, there are no options for transparency I can think of.
It terms of timing for audio clips to match the timeline, to the left of the audio detail area, there is a tab that reads Time and within that, there is an offset value.
The offset tells what measure or what time position within the timeline the beginning of the clip can be found. If you wanted to make precision adjustments to the clip's position, you can edit this offset and it will move the clip in the main timeline. The audio clip detail will not mov, but the actual clip in the timeline will.

Re: Grid Lines in tracks and Sound module difficult to see
I suffer from the same issues with Mixcraft. It's pretty weird compared to all the other Daw's I'm using how the editor window is totally out of sync to the track window. And yes I totally know about the Project and clip time. But then there's something terribly wrong with the grid lines in the editor as well. I think it's a graphic issue.
Example you are wishing to quantize a live recorded midi track. So common Daw practice is to change the grid to see what setting lines up the best with you notes. So say it looks like an 1/8 note triplet is needed. So you set the snap to triplets and the editors grid lines make zero sense. And then I notice it changed to clip time and if I click the toggle it changes color but it still says swicth to Project time.
The other weirdness not expected is if I have 6 midi tracks the edit window for each is totally out of sync to each other making it very hard to make a change in the same place to all tracks.
Anyhow small example of how compared to all the other daw's I use Mixcraft editor seems very buggy and frustrating.
And yes most Daw's have an option to show grid lines either on top or behind.

In case you didn't know, you can select multiple MIDI clips and the "Switch to Clip Time" button to see the exact lining up of MIDI notes. In the example, track five has the clip I'm editing and it is indicated by the wrench on the left side of the clip. I had selected all of the clips at once so that they show as "ghost notes" in the detail.
I've also selected "Switch to Clip Time" so that the MIDI detail timeline matches the main time line. You can see the position being edited and all of the relative MIDI note positions of the other clips. And while in the detail area by holding CTRL and clicking in one of the ghost notes, you can switch to that particular clip to do edits.
