'SOLO' track button on MIDI

Post by Guaresneider »

Hi Greg/Dev Team,

I’d like to suggest adding a ‘Solo’ function button in the MIDI section when editing a song in v11. With this feature, I could hear only the part I’m editing without needing to minimize the window or exit. Right now, I have to go to the track view and activate the solo for the track manually.

Thanks for your time, and I appreciate your consideration.

Best regards! - Axl

Hi,

There are a couple of things you can do right now to reach your goal:

1. Clip only playback: There's a little play triangle Icon in the details area to the upper left of the clip you are working on. Clicking that will only play the clip you are working on.

2. Entire Track Solo: While you are working on the clip, hold CTRL and click on any note in the clip. This will give focus to the track the clip is from. After that press CTRL + L and that will solo the track.

I mention getting focus because you could edit multiple clips at once and switch between soloing the tracks for any of them.
