ASIO

Post by Samoyedhead »

I recorded a song in "WAVE" and now cannot get my ASIO settings. Have Idone somethng to kill that driver and can I get it back? The wave recording sounded fine and worked without a lot of the pops and cracks, but I am concerned that I may have done something terminal. HELP!!!!! Thanks Jimmy

Hi,

Have you tried shutting down and restarting your computer? What ASIO drivers were you using? If you're using a USB device, make sure the device is connected and recognized by Windows before you go into preferences.

Wave vs ASIO

Post by Samoyedhead »

Thanks I recovered the ASIO driver by rebooting the computer. I have a question, is recording in Wave or Wave RT common? I found that it had less pops and cracks during the session although with wave rt I got no real sound from the recording, is this because the rest of the session was recorded in a different preference? Thanks Jimmy
