Adding a sound crashes the program

I just installed the trial version of Audio Mixer. I have been using the full version for some time now, so am familiar with it, but just got a new computer and wanted to re-install the program.
When I add a sound, I can hear the audio as I browse through each music file, but as soon as I select a specific track, it begins to load it and then ompletely freezes at 99%. I have triedre-installing the program and I have also deleted the temporary files. Neither worked...any suggestions?

Go into preferences and change the temporary files directory.
