Ok, for the "Contest" to create a song to a drum beat provided by Eric, there are two questions to be asked.

Would you participate?

If So, what style would you like best? (Don't feel like you have to live in your comfort zone here! Experiment!)

We might have to narrow it down with a subsequent poll of the top two or three to get a better idea what everyone wants.

Was I supposed to make a drum track and I forgot??????
Can I participate or am I exempt because I created the drum track
Can people add more beatcraft sounds to the recording or is the drum track closed and must stay as is?

Heh, the kids started school so I got sidetracked.

Yes! Make the track! There doesn't appear to be any prefference for style so make it whatever comes to mind.

I'd say the drum track should be open for interpretation as well, although shouldn't be modified itself, but if someone wants to toss in Bongos or some chimes etc that should be ok.

Ok, i will make a light rock beat. That's the type i'm best at besides metal.
You want to write some rules and stuff for this?
We can post the contest in the showcase section of this forum with a deadline to turn in the submissions. I will set up an upload section on my site for it.
After all submissions, then we can have people vote for the best one or something like that.
Let me know when you have the rules ready.

Should this beinstrumental only? And I think i'll make the drum track pretty short, so people do not have to listen to 4 minutes of each persons song.
Maybe about 1.5 minutes.
