Do you have the playback level set too high? How about your sound device options, what are they set to?
44100 and 16 I presume?

Hi Eric,
I have looked at the play back settings as suggested - they are at 11025 and 8 .... i have tried a couple of others and it doesn't seem to change the sound?

Any other thoughts?

I am playing back through a headset.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Set playback to 44100 and 16 and see if that helps.

Can you check the properties of the audio file before importing into mp3 audio mixer? See what sample rate and bit depth it was created with.
