hi Acoustica team and fans,
my question is a bit unusual. I have a MIDI controller connected through USB to my PC and I'm running Pianissimo without troubles, no delay whatsoever. But, this is only when I use my PC's speakers - which are rather poor. I've tried to connect my TV/speaker set with HDMI and there is a huge delay, almost 0.5 seconds, which makes it unusable for me. So in conclusion:
1, playing keys in Pianissimo app + HDMI out = no delay
2, playing keys in Pianissimo app + PC speakers out = no delay
3, playing with MIDI controller (on USB) + HDMI out = big delay
4, playing with MIDI controller (on USB) + PC speakers out = no delay
and this is surpising - if it was fault of my living room (hdmi connected) setup, I'd expect option 1, to have delay too!
any help? (beside connecting speaker out from my PC to reciever input, which is obvious and will be a last resort)
edit: I've tried to fiddle with settings, using wave/waveRT drivers, different parameters, but it has no effect on issue with option 3,
sound delay when MIDI controller plays to hdmi out

The ASIO driver for your midi device does not support your hdmi output device, which is why there is a delay.
You could try asio4all but keep in mind it was created as a generic asio driver which will attempt to work for any audio device, so it's a little iffy at times.

I've installed asio4all, but the delay is still there... I guess I'd connect it with direct audio out from my PC's sound card after all. Also after a while I've noticed also a slight delay in hdmi out when piano is played within an app, so it could be other thing.. nevermind, audio out is a safer betAcoustica Eric wrote:The ASIO driver for your midi device does not support your hdmi output device, which is why there is a delay.
