audio books

Any ideas on how this will work to create audio books? I need to convert a bunch of old cassette tape lectures into audio books. How would I tag the files so the reader could start at any section of the book they need to? ANy ideas are greatly appreciated

Hi,

It works well for audio books. You would record the audio, then right-click on the timeline to set track markers for the different sections of the book. Next, click on the File menu and select "Save As a..." and choose an audio format that your CD burning software can use. Choose the option to save the mix as separate files, then the different sections of the book would have their own chapters when burned to a CD.

You might want to try this with our Spin It Again or Mixcraftprograms.

Thanks for the info. Is there a limit to the number of track breaks you can put in? Is it feasible to break down the content into small sections or even pages?

Hi,

There's no limit, but don't make the tracks shorter than four seconds long, because the audio CD format doesn't support it.
