By which way we can have photots for forever?

I have so many old Photographs of my family. I want their safety, which technology can be used.

Photos forever will scan your computer and burn to disk, all images.
This gives you a nice backup of all your images along with the option to print out a reference sheet.

I have also an old collection of my school time images in my computer. How can i make dvd or cd of these images. Please suggest
