Hi everybody.
Here's a little gem of a program you may find useful in 2014. If you have ever downloaded music sheets in pdf format such as the ones from wikifonia (now unavailable it seems) this program will convert the pdf to midi and you can then open and edit in Mixcraft. If you have choir sheets in pdf the program will sing to you! There are a few samples issued in the 10.5 mb download or you can use something like musescore to write choir pieces - or jazz if you like! I've just had it singing Cole Porters "begin the beguine" but it doesn't sound like Michael Buble!
In trial mode you can only process one page at a time, click >file > export> midi. the file will appear as a ** file but it does write to midi. Also if there are several PDF pages these will show in a select box so you need to alter the selection to pages 1 to 1 because this is a trial and will only process one page at a time but its an unlimited trial so that's pretty good!
Bear in mind it only picks up PDF's that were originally written from a notation program such as notion, finale, sibelius or Musescore etc.
Have fun and enjoy the rest of your Christmas holidays. If you don't have a PDF converter you can get a free one (recommended in any case) from Primo PDF
