When recording on a given track, how do FX, either on the track that is recording or global, affect recording, if at all?
For example, if I have a compressor effect on the track that is recording, does the incoming audio get compressed before it is recorded? Or does the FX only affect playback?
Any info is appreciated.

Re: How do effects (both track and global) affect recording?
The effects in Mixcraft while recording or playback are always after the audio signal. So You can record a clean signal and apply effects afterwards. Some folks like to listen to the recorded signal with the effects on so they can hear how it will sound later.

Only affects playback.
