loop is not proper length

Post by youaregreat »

not sure why this is. but my loop has n been workig properly. I import a rendered beatcraft beat, same tempo as my mixcraft project. For some reason there is to much length to he rendered beat. I trim on the measure mark (snap to measure). The clip should be the same size as the measure, but to make sure I time-stretch both ends. now set loop to crop, and loop about 15 times and the clip is not lined up with the measure marker. sometimes ts to long other times ts to short, what gives? I can Time stretch it to the right size but shouldn't t be the right size already? at time marker 2:29 this clip has gained a 16th. ???

did it again gained 1/32 of a measure over 34 seconds, looped a "perfect" clip 4 times. ???

made a report but I question whether the log file actually got attached. the god damn captcha thing kept saying I entered the wrong key. really? Anyways I've started a folder where I can keep the log files safe for your techs viewing. And will be sure to save and report any logs where the program crashes again.

Make sure that when rendering your loop in beatcraft that you have "render tails" selected and "wrap tails" selected. If you're rendering the tails on export, your loop won't exactly fit to the maddie size, and when looped can make things wonky

thanks for the advice, anorax, that is what I have been doing, it made sense, but I never had any verification that that was the proper thing to do. But like I said this is a minor curiosity because a perfectly viable solution already exists with the time stretch, you just need to know your machine is all, an until recently I had not been checking to see if things were in time, although I've never had cause to. Things were just sounding off this time and then I noticed they actually were. I guess I'll go back and check older projects now.
