Lightscribe error message

Tried free download of Acoustica to try because all programs, Surething, Roxio, Hp Simple Labeler do not work. Running Windows 8.1, with Acoustica Get same error message " A communication error has occurred with Lightscribe drive, Please restart your PC and try the label again" Restarted many times to no avail. Please help

Hi,

Try going into Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker's LightScribe preferences and choosing "Use single-drive printing preference."

If that doesn't help, try downloading and installing the LightScribe System Software.

My error in post. Yes I did and no luck. May be a hardware problem or SATA or my new CPU, Drive is an add-on.

Did you download and install the LightScribe system software from my link?

I just want to make sure you have the last version of the system software that HP released before they stopped supporting LightScribe.

Sounds like it might be a problem with the drive, then. Does it function well in all other respects, like playing audio CDs and reading data from CDs?
